This guide shows you how to promote team members to manager and give them portal access.

Managers can configure your AI, test replies, track team performance, and manage billing. Agents use the Chrome extension but cannot access the portal. You decide who gets manager access.

Promote a team member to manager

  1. Log in to your INTO account.
  2. Go to Settings > Team Members.
  3. Find the team member in the list.
  4. Toggle their role from Agent to Manager.
  5. Confirm the change.

The team member receives an email invite immediately. They create a password and gain full portal access.

What managers can do

Managers have full access to the INTO portal. This includes:

  • Configure AI settings and knowledge base
  • Test replies in the Playground
  • Set up message templates and signatures
  • Track team metrics and automation rates
  • Manage billing and subscription plans
  • Invite and remove team members

Agents only use the Chrome extension inside Guesty. They cannot access the portal.

User sync with Guesty

INTO syncs team members from Guesty every 24 hours. Add or remove users in Guesty and they appear in INTO automatically.

Need faster sync? Click Sync from Guesty in the Team Members list. Changes appear within seconds.

Common questions

Can I change someone back to agent?
Yes. Follow the same steps and toggle their role back to Agent. They lose portal access immediately.

What happens if I remove someone from Guesty?
They are removed from INTO within 24 hours. Use the sync button for immediate removal.

Can managers see all conversations?
Yes. Managers see all team activity, metrics, and conversation history in the portal.

How many managers can I have?
No limit. Promote as many or as few team members as you need.

Troubleshooting

Invite email not arriving
Check spam folders first. Resend the invite by toggling the role off and on again.

Team member cannot log in
Verify they completed password creation. Send a password reset link from the Team Members page.

Sync not working
Confirm your Guesty token has the correct permissions. Visit Settings > Integrations to check token status.
